TheArtistic Painter An Artistic Refurbish Painter at RoyalCaribbean maintains and restores the aesthetic appeal of ships bypainting, varnishing, and repairing interior/exterior surfaces in passenger,public, and crew areas. They apply decorative finishes using techniques likespray guns, rollers, and brushes, while also maintaining artwork, murals, andsculptures. 

 KeyResponsibilities:

• Surface Preparation & Application: Perform painting, varnishing, and specialized coating techniques on various surfaces using brushes, rollers, airbrushes, and spray guns.
• Refurbishment & Repair: Restore, touch up, and repair decorative finishes and surfaces in all ship areas, including cabins, public spaces, and crew quarters.
• Artistic Maintenance: Restore and maintain, murals, and sculptures.
• Maintenance & Safety: Utilize and mix different types of paint (interior, exterior, water-based, oil-based, polyurethane) while adhering to safety regulations.
• Collaboration: Work within the facilities maintenance team to support overall ship upkeep.  

Requirements:

• Proven experience in painting, decorating, and refurbishment, ideally with artistic skills in restoration. 

LanguageRequirements: 

• Ability to speak English clearly, distinctly, and cordially with guests and crew.
• Ability to read and write English to understand and interpret written procedures; effectively present information and respond to questions from guests, supervisors, and co-workers.
• Additional languages are preferred but not required. 

Physical& Environmental Requirements: 

• Physical: Regularly stand, walk, and perform manual tasks; operate hand tools; lift up to 50 pounds; may include kneeling, bending, and working in tight spaces.
• Vision: Close and distance vision, colour vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
• Environmental: Work on a shipboard environment with exposure to dust, noise, chemicals, and varying temperatures; use of PPE required; may require shifts or overtime; able to work in confined spaces and at heights as needed. Full use of arms, legs, vision, hearing, and coordination is required to perform duties effectively.
