Responsibilities:

• Perform grooming services including bathing, trimming, brushing, nail clipping, ear cleaning, and styling tailored to each dog’s breed and individual needs.
• Handle dogs safely and gently, utilizing animal restraint techniques to ensure comfort and security during grooming procedures.
• Assess each pet’s health condition, alerting veterinary staff or pet owners of any concerns such as skin issues or abnormalities.
• Maintain a clean and organized grooming station, ensuring all tools are sanitized and equipment is functioning properly.
• Provide excellent customer service by communicating clearly with pet owners about grooming options, aftercare instructions, and special needs.
• Assist with pet handling tasks such as feeding, walking, or basic care when required, demonstrating animal handling expertise.
• Support team members with kennel cleaning or other animal care duties as needed to maintain a safe and welcoming environment.

Experience:

• Prior experience in pet grooming or animal handling is highly preferred; certification in pet grooming is a plus.
• Knowledge of dog training techniques and veterinary experience enhances your ability to work effectively with diverse breeds and temperaments.
• Background in veterinary technician or veterinary assistant roles provides valuable insight into animal health and safety protocols.
• Familiarity with animal restraint methods, pet sitting, kennel management, and heavy lifting ensures smooth daily operations.
• Strong customer service skills combined with compassion for animals create memorable experiences for clients.
• Previous exposure to equine or other large animal environments demonstrates versatility in animal care skills.
