What To Expect
Tesla Energy is seeking a highly skilled Engineering Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in basic electrical and mechanical troubleshooting, tester and robot recoveries, and mechanical design using CAD. This role may require working a night shift schedule, and flexibility to work various shifts—including days, nights, and swing shifts—is essential. What You'll Do Troubleshoot equipment/process faults on the module line and help recover, report, and escalate when neededSupport Engineers in adhoc or planned downtime activities including clear understanding of electrical/mechanical equipment, PLC, troubleshooting, and operation of equipmentHelp create/modify equipment troubleshooting guides and train operation teams when applicable Support Engineers in submitting and managing orders including vendor communication, obtaining quotes, on and offsite logistics, PO creation, and asset managementAudit spares and add/remove items, change minimum quantities, for all equipment in the line
What You'll Bring Degree in Mechnical Engineering, Physics, Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience2+ years of experience in an engineering development environmentGreat engineering drawing skills (CAD)Experience with test equipment as well as strong troubleshooting skillsAbility to command the english language both written and verbalSafety oriented – must be able to identify energy sources in order to disable and verify safe through LOTO or other means. Must understand all site hazards and mitigate riskStrong interpersonal and communications skills as well as a positive attitude, eagerness to learn, ability to change direction quicklyBasic level understanding of PLC and ignition preferred

Expected Compensation
Engineering Technician I - $27.45 - $30.60/hourEngineering Technician II - $31.63 - $34.97/hourEngineering Technician III - $34.73 - $40.36/hour
+ cash and stock awards + benefits for all levels
Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
