Job Title: General Production Worker

Job Description

Join our dynamic team as a General Production Worker, where you will play a critical role in our manufacturing process. This full-time position offers the potential for permanent placement, with opportunities for skill advancement and cross-training. We are looking for motivated individuals to assist in operating rope braiding machines, ensuring product quality, and maintaining a safe work environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist in operating rope braiding machines on the production floor.
• Read production job specifications to determine machine adjustments and materials required.
• Document production information on a tally sheet and make basic production entries via written or electronic forms.
• Perform cleanings and basic preventative maintenance on all equipment.
• Practice safe work habits, adhere to PPE guidelines, and be aware of machine safety procedures.
• Review production for defects, inconsistencies, and abnormal appearance to ensure quality control.
• Identify issues and communicate them with cell or group leaders.
• Work effectively in a team environment and assist in other areas of the facility when needed.

Essential Skills

• Ability to read and write in English.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs and push/pull 30 lbs repeatedly.
• Basic mathematical principles such as length, diameter, weights, and counts.
• Willingness to perform repetitive tasks for extended periods.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• An equivalent combination of education and work-related experience.
• Listening carefully to instructions given by cell or group leaders.
• Cross-training to become proficient in the safe operation of all equipment.
• Flexibility to assist in other areas of the facility without hesitation.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fall River, MA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr.
