Job Description

Surfside Laundry is seeking a skilled Industrial Maintenance Technician with a strong background in electrical troubleshooting to join our fast-paced, high-volume operation. The ideal candidate will possess the ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team setting. This role involves diagnosing and repairing all aspects of industrial laundry equipment, including washers, gas dryers, steam and thermal ironer systems, and finishing equipment, to minimize downtime caused by electrical, programming, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues. Candidates with proven experience in the industrial laundry sector are highly encouraged to apply. A minimum of one year of industrial maintenance experience is required. Position is based out of our Panama City Beach locations. Responsibilities

• Perform advanced electrical troubleshooting related to system operations involving both high and low voltage components, including variable frequency drives (VFDs), relays, solenoids, sensors, external probes, safety devices, and encoders.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical systems such as chain and sprocket drive units, bearings, lubrication systems with grease and oil, and belt-driven mechanisms.
• Maintain a solid understanding of air, water, steam, and gas-fired systems as they relate to equipment operation.
• Support plumbing repairs and maintenance as needed.
• Demonstrate excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize production demands while multitasking and following directions from management to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Interpret blueprints and schematics accurately to aid in maintenance and repair tasks.
• Consistently complete daily, weekly, and monthly preventative maintenance schedules to ensure optimal equipment performance.
• Maintain flexibility in work schedule to support a 24/7 operational environment, with reliable transportation.
• Follow and promote safe work practices and standards in a fast-paced production environment that often involves working in extreme temperature conditions.

Requirements

• Minimum of one year experience in an industrial maintenance role, preferably within the industrial laundry field.
• Strong electrical troubleshooting skills across a variety of systems and voltages.
• Proficient mechanical repair abilities including experience with drive systems and lubrication.
• Basic plumbing knowledge and skills.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics.
• Exceptional organizational and multitasking capabilities under production pressures.
• Willingness to work flexible hours in a 24/7 work environment.
• Reliable transportation to and from the job site.
• Commitment to workplace safety in all conditions.
