Job Title: Journeyman Industrial Electrician

Shift: 3rd Shift

Location: Alto, MI

Pay: Up to $38/hr. based on experience

Job Overview:

Our client is seeking a skilled Journeyman Electrician to support 3rd shift manufacturing operations. This role is responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting industrial electrical systems to ensure safe, reliable, and continuous production. The ideal candidate brings strong NEC knowledge, hands-on industrial experience, and a safety-first mindset in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities:

• Install, maintain, repair, and troubleshoot industrial electrical systems in compliance with the National Electrical Code (NEC).
• Perform electrical installations based on planned layouts, job specifications, and applicable local and national codes.
• Install and maintain conduit systems, lighting systems, basic control circuits, motor feeders, and standard motor connections.
• Connect wiring to circuit breakers, transformers, motors, and other electrical components.
• Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and required adjustments or repairs.
• Test electrical systems and circuit continuity using diagnostic tools such as voltmeters and ohmmeters to ensure proper operation and safety.
• Troubleshoot electrical issues on production and facility equipment to minimize downtime and support continuous operations.
• Accurately document work performed and follow established maintenance and safety procedures.

Qualifications:

• Journeyman Electrician certification required.
• Minimum of 6 years of industrial or commercial electrical experience.
• Strong working knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC).
• Working knowledge of electrical systems, pneumatics, hydraulics, PLCs, and basic PC-based systems.
• Ability to work independently on 3rd shift in a manufacturing environment.
