Job Summary: Nurse Practitioner – Trauma & Acute Care Surgery

We are seeking a high-caliber Nurse Practitioner to provide expert overnight coverage (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM ) within a comprehensive Trauma and Acute Care Surgery service. This role is designed for an autonomous clinician who thrives in high-acuity environments, managing trauma and emergency general surgery patients across various inpatient settings.

Key Responsibilities:

• Clinical Management: Perform comprehensive assessments, interpret diagnostics, and develop treatment plans for trauma and emergency surgery patients.
• Surgical Support: Assist trauma surgeons with procedures and provide ongoing patient management throughout the night.
• Collaboration & Documentation: Work independently while maintaining seamless communication with multidisciplinary teams; utilize Epic EMR for all clinical documentation.
• Professional Development: Participate in structured mentorship, leadership development, and ongoing clinical education programs.

Candidate Requirements:

• Experience: A minimum of two years of trauma surgery experience or the completion of a surgical fellowship is highly preferred. This position is not open to new graduates.
• Education & Certification: Graduate of an accredited NP program (Master’s degree). Must hold ANCC or AANPCB certification and a current BLS (AHA or ARC).
• Licensure: Must hold (or be eligible for) an unrestricted license to practice in Colorado , along with DEA and Medicare/Medicaid provider status.
• Compliance: A clean malpractice/license history is preferred. Candidates must provide a recent NPDB Self-Query Report (within 30 days) and have no HHS/OIG or GSA sanctions.
• Eligibility: We are currently only considering permanent, direct-hire candidates. Visa sponsorship (J-1/H-1B) is not available at this time.

Compensation & Benefits:

• Salary Range: $136,822 – $179,379 (commensurate with experience).
• Incentive Pay: Eligible for up to $10,000 annually via a Quality Value Incentive Plan (QVIP).
• Relocation: Bonus of up to $10,000 available for eligible candidates.
• Comprehensive Benefits: Includes fully paid malpractice, a $3,500 CME allowance (plus 5 days), 403(b) matching, and 100% covered tuition for select degree programs.
