We are working with an established food manufacturing company based in Chicago, IL. They are recruiting a Production Scheduler to join their team on Day role (8am – 5pm) in return for a salary in the region of $70,000 - $75,000 along with excellent employment benefits which include 401K, Healthcare, Vision and Dental, 2 weeks PTO and Life insurance.

Duties

• Generate a rolling 1-2 week master production plan for designated products. Utilize the production capacity, taking into consideration the sales forecast, historical sales, and new business opportunities
• Manages the operational forecast, getting input from sales on a 3-month rolling forecast for major accounts.
• Analyze and identify risks associated with the option built into the master production plan, including manufacturing lead times. Schedules sent to the plant/production managers are updated.
• Make delivery commitment on MTO products, which involves checking raw materials, components, and production capacity.
• Develop inventory targets and manage production to achieve targeted inventory levels on both a cost and units basis. · Maintain finished goods inventory at adequate levels to ensure high service levels, I.E , product availability.
• Review finished goods in inventory levels with sales/marketing on an as-needed basis. Supports discontinuation of non-profitable sku’s.
• Monitor Actual output versus the master production plan. Identify gaps and maintain lot size/production yields information, call out performance issues to the request production schedule.
• Supports the SOP department initiatives.
• Updates master production plan if necessary

Qualifications & Experience required:

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Operations, Supply Chain, or related field.
• 2-3 years supply chain planning experience
• Strong analytical planning and organizing skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, Strong MS Excel skills needed
• MRP system experience needed
• APIC CPIM> CSCP certification or certification in progress
