Job Description

The Senior Financial Analyst will ensure the Company’s financial analytics, budgets and forecasts are in order and communicated to the C-Suite and Board. Specifically, the responsibility involves the understanding of the Company's historical performance as well as an understanding of the key assumptions and trends that impact future performance and requires a broad understanding of both accounting and business operations.

The position is a central liaison between the corporate and operations teams, maintaining contact with all areas of the enterprise including operations, sales, marketing, treasury and accounting. The position is responsible for sales compensation planning and commission payment reporting, partner residual calculations, payments and associated reporting. Specifically, the group is primarily charged with planning, i.e. it produces the annual budget, quarterly forecasting and ad hoc analytics to aid senior management in decision making.

The position requires a self-driven individual that relies on sound decision making and possesses solid business judgment. An ideal candidate will exhibit proven accounting and financial leadership skills in a complex, growth environment.

This role is fully remote suitable for those in the EST

Responsibilities

• Consolidate Company’s financial data, conduct variance analysis, prepare financial packages, and present financial results to senior management
• Work alongside business unit owners to prepare Budgets and Forecasts
• Conduct analysis and produce materials for Board presentations
• Provide financial support and manage the sales compensation plans, commission Payments, analysis and reporting
• Manage partner residual calculations, payments & associated reporting
• Provide daily, weekly & monthly sales KPI analysis and reporting
• Build and maintain sales pricing models
• Other special projects as assigned

Environment/Conditions

·       This will be fully remote suitable for EST only. Occasional site and office visits may be required.  

·       This is a full-time position. Monday to Friday.  Core office hours will be 8 hours within the range of hours.  Depending on assigned responsibilities or projects, some nights and weekends will be required.

Requirements

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines, including extended hours during peak periods
• Demonstrate excellent organizational and communication (both written and verbal) skills
• Strong attention to detail and solid analytical skills a must
• Advanced Excel skills, including working with lookups and pivot tables
• Ability to collaborate with internal and external teams
• Financial statement reporting experience
• Experience working in or with NetSuite (Cloud based accounting application) a plus

Education and Experience:

• Bachelors in Finance or Accounting is required.
• Minimum of 5 years of related experience required, payments experience a plus

Preferred

• Experience in payment processing, health and software preferred

• Masters degree preferred.

Base Salary range from $85k - $110K with Bonus eligibility.

The base salary range represents the anticipated low and high end of the Sphere salary range for this position. Actual salaries will vary and be based on various factors, such as candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies, and proficiency for the role. The base salary is one component of Sphere’s total compensation package for employees.
