Duties

  • Prepare and cook menu items with precision, ensuring consistency and quality in every dish
  • Assist in supervising kitchen staff, including line cooks and prep cooks, fostering a collaborative team environment
  • Manage food production processes to meet service timelines while maintaining safety and sanitation standards
  • Oversee inventory control, including ordering supplies and minimizing waste to optimize food costs
  • Support menu planning and recipe development to keep offerings innovative and appealing
  • Maintain cleanliness of workstations and ensure compliance with food safety regulations such as HACCP standards
  • Coordinate with the culinary team during catering events or banquet services to deliver exceptional presentations and timely service

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in fine dining establishments or similar high-end food service environments
  • Demonstrated supervisory or leadership experience within a kitchen setting
  • Strong background in food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen management practices
  • Familiarity with dietary requirements and experience working in dietary departments preferred
  • Knowledge of inventory management, food handling procedures, and food safety protocols
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently during busy shifts
  • Team-oriented mindset with leadership qualities that motivate colleagues and promote a positive work environment
