Our client has engaged us to assist them in hiring a contract Warehouse Supervisor . • Counsel and support hourly employees with workplace needs and concerns.
• Address employee performance by reinforcing positive behaviors and correcting negative behaviors.
• Utilize the Quality Network problem‑solving process to identify improvement opportunities and engage employees for ideas.
• Apply Workplace Organization (WPO) principles to optimize layouts and improve efficiency.
• Perform daily Timekeeping System (TKS) updates to ensure accurate payroll processing.
• Document problem‑solving activities using the A‑3 reporting format while following local A‑3 guidelines.
• Lead daily meetings to communicate business performance and facilitate two‑way communication with employees.
• Conduct and document weekly safety observation tours across assigned departments.
• Plan daily workloads in advance to support operational needs.
• Collaborate with colleagues to maximize shift performance.
• Ensure compliance with national and local contractual requirements.
• Enforce shop rules and maintain consistent standards.
• Conduct daily Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) audit checks.
• Actively develop skills through the Individual Development Plan (IDP) process.
• Keep the General Supervisor and Shop Committee informed of ongoing and upcoming activities.

Required Skills:

• Knowledge of manufacturing processes and procedures.

• Basic math skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
• Understanding of fundamental technologies used in assigned work areas.
• Familiarity with scheduling systems and other operational management tools.
• Strong analytical abilities to solve complex problems.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate, influence, and effectively collaborate with employees.
• Knowledge of quality control processes and standards.

Education & Experience:

• High school diploma required.
• Completion of 1-2 years of technical or business school training preferred.
• Skilled trades training or equivalent technical background strongly preferred.
• 10+ years of relevant experience preferred.
