Job Description

We are seeking dedicated individuals responsible for operating industrial sewing machines to manufacture medical device parts. Successful candidates will undergo a week-long training class on industrial sewing machines, followed by hands-on guidance from a mentor on the production floor. Responsibilities include setting up the sewing machine with the correct thread, aiming to increase production count to the expected output level within 13 weeks, maintaining a clean and safe work environment, and ensuring products meet quality standards.

1st Shift 6am-2:30pm - $17/hr

2nd Shift 3pm-11:30pm - $18/hr

Responsibilities

• Operate industrial sewing machines to manufacture medical device parts.
• Participate in a week-long training class on industrial sewing machines.
• Receive mentorship on the production floor to understand the production process.
• Set up sewing machine with correct thread.
• Aim to increase production count to expected output level within 13 weeks.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Sit for extended periods to operate sewing machine.
• Seek assistance for sewing machine issues or call maintenance.
• Ensure products meet quality standards.

• Industrial sewing experience.
• Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).

Work Environment

The work environment is a Contract Manufacturing Medical Device Company experiencing significant growth, with 800 employees at the St Charles location. The production floor is predominantly equipped with industrial sewing machines and operates in a clean GMP environment, requiring hair nets and beard nets if applicable. While not climate-controlled, fans are provided at each sewing machine and throughout the production area to alleviate summer heat. The diverse workforce speaks over 5-6 languages, with provisions for those who use translation technology. Flexible shifts are available, with options for voluntary overtime.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of St. Charles, IL.

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $18.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in St. Charles,IL.
