We are a growing trucking company seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Night Dispatcher to support our drivers and customers during overnight operations. This role is critical to maintaining service excellence, driver satisfaction, and on-time performance.

We are open to both local candidates who prefer to work in our Smyrna office and experienced dispatchers seeking a remote work opportunity.
This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced logistics environment, communicates well under pressure, and takes ownership of operational outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Dispatch drivers and manage nightly load assignments
• Track shipment progress and proactively address service issues
• Communicate with customers regarding delays or delivery updates
• Support drivers with routing, problem resolution, and operational guidance
• Monitor service performance and escalate issues as needed
• Perform administrative tasks including freight bill processing and documentation
• Maintain accurate records in dispatch and TMS systems

Qualifications

• Prior trucking dispatch or logistics coordination experience preferred
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a time-sensitive environment
• Comfortable working overnight hours on a consistent schedule
• Experience with TMS / dispatch software is a plus
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and basic computer systems

For remote candidates:

• Prior dispatch experience strongly preferred
• Reliable high-speed internet connection
• Dedicated, distraction-free workspace
• Ability to remain responsive and engaged throughout the overnight shift
