SUMMARY
The HIT Interview Simulation Candidate supports the Health Information Technology (HIT) Education Program by participating in structured interview simulations designed to prepare students for real world HIT roles. This position serves as a mock applicant, allowing participants to practice interviewing, evaluate their readiness, and apply foundational HIT knowledge in a realistic setting.
The individual in this role will portray job seeking as an HIT student. This includes answering interview questions, discussing coursework or mock internships, and demonstrating familiarity with health information systems, HIPAA guidelines, release of information workflows, coding fundamentals, and electronic health record (EHR) navigation concepts.
The candidate will receive guidance and feedback throughout the process and will use the simulation experience to strengthen professionalism, compliance awareness, technical communication, and overall interview preparedness.
